this advert is meant to be selling mercedes benz cars but it shows people holding chickens and making them dance. This keeps the audience interested in the company as they are wondering why there are chickens on the advert, makes the company memorable.

Analysing the advert

  • is it selling the benefits
  • you can highlight that your product is better than another
  • to sell a lifestyle
  • making it all about the brand
- they both show the actual product in the advert, advertises the benefits of the product, both more desired

- the aldi advert is an advert is saying that their mayonnaise is better than other supermarkets and the dior one is advertising a lifesyle, you can be more like marilyn monroe if you have their perfume

- i would most likely buy a product if the advert was selling a lifestyle because it makes the product a lot more desirable to me if its going to make my lifestyle better.

Characteristics
- Life style
- Better than others
- Benefits
- Brand culture

Techniques
- Overt
- Hidden
- Emotional

Structure
- Codes & Conventions
- Form
- Style

The form of the orangina advert is a narrative series because the advert is linked to other adverts and it has a surrealist storyline.

The orangina advert uses the characteristics of a brand culture advert. We know this because we see the product in the advert and the advert is telling us that if we but this product we can be a part of the werid and funny brand culture of orangina. The advert uses hidden techniques because of the narrative of someone being hit by a spaceship and also the costume of the bear wearing shorts and paying tennis.
